Ticketmaster alternative

The Ticketmaster alternative for venues, with your own website and domain

With Festejar the venue sells tickets on its own website, on its own domain, for 4% + €0.50 per order, VAT and card fees included. People get the ticket by email, as a PDF and in the Wallet.

Why move from Ticketmaster to Festejar

  1. 01

A ticket that works printed or in the Wallet

    Before, with Ticketmaster
On ticketmaster.es, mobile tickets have to be shown in the app or on the mobile site: a screenshot won’t do.[6]
    Now, with Festejar
PDF and Wallet. At the door the QR works, even printed.
  2. 02

Money that arrives without a request

    Before, with Ticketmaster
By default, Universe releases the money about 48 hours after the party, once you ask for it.[2]
    Now, with Festejar
A few days after each purchase, straight into the venue’s account.
  3. 03

From universe.com to the venue’s domain

    Before, with Ticketmaster
Universe sells on your website with a widget, but each party’s page sits on universe.com.[1]
    Now, with Festejar
Listings, tickets and photos on the venue’s website and domain.
  4. 04

A rate with no extras on top

    Before, with Ticketmaster
Universe’s rate excludes VAT and processing fees, and the amount of its per-order fee is not published.[1][2]
    Now, with Festejar
4% + €0.50 per order: VAT and card payments are already in it.

  • We set up the website on your domain with your parties, and you review it before anything goes live
  • Parties already on sale finish on Ticketmaster; new ones go out on your website
  • Download each party’s attendee report from Universe before you switch
  • From day one, the door checks in with Festejar Equip, and people can bring a printed ticket

Frequently asked questions

How much does Ticketmaster charge per ticket?

On ticketmaster.es, organiser rates are not public: you fill in a form and wait for a proposal. Universe, its self-serve product, publishes €0.83 per ticket on the Starter plan or 4.13% on Standard for Spain, before VAT and processing fees.

When does the venue get paid with Ticketmaster?

With Universe payments, the money can be withdrawn about 48 hours after the party, when you request it. If you connect a Stripe account, sales reach it at the time of sale.

Can I switch from Ticketmaster with parties already on sale?

Yes. Parties already on sale can finish on Ticketmaster while you publish new ones on your website with Festejar. Nothing has to close on the same day.

Doesn’t Ticketmaster sell more, being so well known?

Ticketmaster has a large audience and works it: according to its business website, it recommends events to buyers by email and with app notifications. On your website, whoever buys a ticket joins the venue’s customer list, and Festejar doesn’t offer them other venues’ parties.
